Traveling is something that has really granted me the required wits and the brain, absolutely about anything, it has brought together all my senses to work in serenity with each other, these senses of mine has actually learned to cooperate a lot. Ever since the traveling bug has bitten me the risk-taking factor has also spread its wings, the creative aspect is also well mannered now, and off course the taste buds too are now tamed and accept any taste they come across. The food is one thing that just has taught me to respect the homemade food. It’s not that eating while traveling is not good, its great, but when sometimes the acceptance meter goes down while trying out something new, I have always missed home and my mom. The tanginess in traveling exist till the experience brings excitement, and more a less for me it depends on the cuisine of the place.
For me traveling in my own country, India has brought in the opportunity to feel the food, the assortment of the food and menu you will find here, is so wide that it is difficult to pick up my favorite though. It is like food for thought; yea I can only think well when the bread is fed to me. And surely food is the staff of the life.
I can just feast on anything, almost anything, but sometimes this confidence of yours can be challenged. Now I say I can try out anything new, but to relish it or not is to be answered later. This dish that I came across was a combination of vegetarian and non – vegetarian stuff, mutton cooked with vegetables and fresh grated coconut and its chunks… coconut is staple in South India, this where this dish came, but somehow the mutton just refused to blend its juices with the vegetables and coconut, or it may be that coconut was fighting to dominate the mutton. And I think this must be the case, because the dish was completely coco nutty or just nutty. Whatever, I was left with no praises of it. But then this doesn’t end my fondness for food, the voyage for food will continue.
The best cuisine that is close to me is from Kashmir, it has such velvety blend of the spices that I am sure the first time try will leave you with the trailing aroma and flavor. And that what I mean when your senses are tamed, they will just remember the ‘oh so royal’ flavor of the food. The non-vegetarians are in heaven.
As they say books can take you in any world, and I say the food can take you to any world. And for the traveler it’s the good… better… nope the best way to beat the blues sometimes, as traveling can also not be at its best forever. If you don’t appreciate traveling to new places, for the risk of getting lost and no one will ever come to know where you have disappeared, then just be brave to sport out any new food, it is a nice way to know that its just not the burger that rules, but there were other good dishes that just were there.
Well this food thing can be wackiest, and the confidence of trying anything gets tough, and tough gets trying…. really, its when the reptiles and bugs are served to you. No, I have not collected guts to eat them. I can’t say about any of you reading this, but for me this is a complete no. It may take many many more years for my senses to accept this, but right now my own wit and brain is in complete denial even if I am starving to death.
Are you up for the wackiest food? what’s the most wackiest food you have tried?
